From a young age I have been surrounded by art materials and paintings. Regular visits to galleries with my art teacher mother made art inspiring yet deeply familiar. I remember viewing 'The Greats' from Monet to Picasso as a child and being captivated by how these artists could bring the paint to life. I often came home from galleries feeling revived and enthused, hoping that I too could catch some of that splendor in my own work.

I developed my skill in visual art in Edinburgh College of Art over a two year period. Following this experience I felt I needed to expand my interests and completed a Master of Arts in Geography at the University of Edinburgh. In this degree I achieved a First Class Honours and gained a greater depth of understanding of the interaction between people and urban places which in turn enlightened my processes of visual art representation. This understanding informs how I select and represent the subject matter of my work.

Growing up in Hong Kong I was often captivated by the layers of colour and texture that comes with urban living. Later moving to Edinburgh, Scotland then Sydney, Australia, I fell in love with the visual lustre of the landscape and its changing light and tone. Recent years the demands of motherhood have somewhat restricted my ability to work from the external landscape which thereby inspired an me to see the beauty in the objects surrounding me. This interior observation gave rise to my most recent still life series

I have exhibited regularly since 2000 with both solo and group exhibitions. My work has regularly been accepted to the annual exhibitions at the Royal Scottish Academy. At present my work is exhibited at Flaubert Gallery and Marchmont Gallery in Edinburgh, Scotland.
